Once I realized how powerful the chiropractic adjustment was, I knew I had to share that with others!
I was born and raised in the metro Atlanta area. I received my first chiropractic adjustment when I was a few months old, and have been under regular care ever since. Growing up I was always amazed at the power of chiropractic in my life and in those around me receiving care, so when it was time to choose a career and it was an easy choice. I became fascinated with the nervous system, and how the chiropractic adjustment effects that supreme system in our bodies. My interest in neurology let me to study at Emory University while pursuing my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University.
Upon graduation I moved to Zigong, China to work in the city hospital. I adjusted many people who had never heard of chiropractic and the health results the patients experienced were amazing and humbling. After I moved back to the states, I came to New England to experience the beautiful seasons, the seafood, and the Red Sox! I was blessed to find Dr. Shapiro and the staff here at Port City Chiropractic. I was impressed by the patient care approach and variety of services offered, so I wanted to be a part of this place of healing.
I received special training in caring for children and pregnant women, athletes, and the elderly, but I am excited to work with anyone who wants to get healthy and stay healthy! I have learned many different adjusting techniques that allow me to develop individualized care plans for each person, because no one person is the same when it comes to caring for their health. This is why I do what I do--I know that if everyone was healthy, pain-free, had lots of energy, and was given hope, lives can change drastically. I want to be a part of that. Once I realized how powerful the chiropractic adjustment was I knew I had to share that with others.
